The Neighbor Project - 11/9/24
Nearly 700,000 people are experiencing homelessness, with a disposable number of those people being Black, Brown, and/or experiencing mental health crises. In an effort to combat this, Pressing Towards the Mark Outreach Ministry in partnership with ASMITHMUSIC LLC, have created The Neighbor Project. The Neighbor Project seeks to provide resources and awareness. We want to change our own perceptions of what it means to be in need, and restore our connection to one another no matter what circumstances.
For our inaugural event, we plan to give out food and winter necessities to our neighbors in need. You can purchase items on Amazon here.
80 - The 80th Birthday Concert Gala for Samuel L. E. Bonds
This year , Samuel L. E. Bonds will be turning 80 years old! To celebrate the music that influences us as an organization, we will be hosting an evening of incredible music! This will be a ticketed event where proceeds will go to support one of our partners, The Mental Health Emergency Fund, and the development of our organization's first musician's scholarship for students pursuing music. This is an event that you don't want to miss!

AD Information for the 80th Birthday Concert Gala
To celebrate the birthday of Mr. Samuel L. E. Bonds, we will be creating a program booklet full of celebration ads. The ads will be messages from the community that express both the celebration of his birthday and the appreciation of his many years of artistic excellence. We encourage all former students, colleagues, friends and family members to share an appreciation or celebration ad for the program booklet.
All proceeds from the ads will support the ASMITHMUSIC LLC Scholarship Fund. In its inaugural year, we will be offering The AMP Scholarship (ASMITHMUSIC Musicians Pathways Scholarship) in honor of Samuel L. E. Bonds and the way he has instilled endless musical possibilities and pathways for his students. This scholarship will be for musicians, both vocal and instrumental alike, who are pursuing a degree in performance, music education, or choral conducting and who wish to expand their artistry beyond the traditional expectations of the degree.
